MPIPRevEdu

Project Summary

The MPIPrevEdu project aims to train educators and nursing students from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) to facilitate the development of teaching/learning skills in the prevention and control of maternal peripartum infections (MPIs), increasing their safety and effectiveness.
MPIs are one of the global health priorities that is particularly relevant to SSA, given the high incidence, morbidity and mortality of women and newborns. By intervening in the training process of future nurses and, at the same time, strengthening the link between academia and current professionals, this project aims to improve the quality of higher education in SSA, reinforce the relevance of nurses trained at HEIs to the labor market and society, and increase the level of competencies, skills and potential of both nursing students and educators.
